A Grave Inheritance

A Grave Inheritance is a body of paintings that refuses to look away. Through the post-apartheid South African experience, this exhibition examines what is passed down when words fail. The silence held in a body. The fear worn into a face. The grief that skips no generation. These works do not seek resolution. They bear witness. Each painting traces the invisible thread between those who suffered and those who followed, asking what it means to carry a wound you did not earn but cannot put down. This is not a story about the past. It is a reckoning with what the past is still doing.
